Alessandra Giglio

is a researcher at the University of Dalarna (Sweden), and has previously carried out teaching and research activities at various Italian universities and for the National Research Centre; in addition, she is currently a contract Professor at the Free University of Bolzano and the University for Foreigners of Siena. Since 2006, she has been involved in teaching Italian to non-native speakers, training in language teaching, and researching through technologies for teaching and e-learning. François Mangenot

is Full Professor of Applied Linguistics at University Grenoble Alpes (France). He belongs to the research unit Lidilem (Linguistique et Didactique des Langues Etrangères et Maternelles). He has been researching in CALL for 30 years, with a stress on task design and online exchanges. He is the author of three books, the most recent one being Formation en ligne et MOOC: apprendre et se former en langue avec le numérique, Hachette, 2017.

Zsuzsanna Bárkányi

is a Lecturer in Spanish at the Open University. Previously, she worked as a Speech Linguistics Project Manager at Google's text-to-speech synthesis team, a Lecturer in Spanish and Theoretical Linguistics at Eotvos Lorand University (Budapest) and senior researcher of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Research Institute for Linguistics. Catherine Carras

is senior lecturer in Language Sciences at the University of Grenoble Alpes (France). Her research focuses on the didactics of French as a foreign language, specifically the didactics of French on Specific and Academic Purposes. She is in charge of numerous teacher-training missions on these themes, in France and abroad.

Letizia Cinganotto

is a full time Researcher at INDIRE, Italy. She holds a PhD in Linguistics and has far-reaching experience in CPD for teachers and head teachers. She is a member of the ECML "Pluriliteracies" consultancy team and different working groups and scientific committees on CLIL and languages both at national and international level (Italian Ministry of Education, European Commission, OECD, Council of Europe, ECML). She has published articles and chapters in peer-reviewed journals and recently three volumes on CLIL.

Barbara Conde-Gafaro

Barbara Conde-Gafaro

obtained a Bachelor Degree in Modern Languages at the Pontificia Javeriana University in Bogota (Colombia) and has experience in teaching Spanish in Colombia and the UK. She is currently studying for her PhD on MOOCs for Foreign Language Learning at the Open University, supported by the award of a Leverhulme scholarship. Mara Fuertes Gutiérrez

is the Head of Spanish at The Open University. She has experience in teaching Spanish, Linguistics and Research Methods in Higher Education. Mara has conducted extensive research in the areas of Teaching and Learning Spanish, Historiography of Linguistics, and Sociolinguistics. Thierry Soubrié

is the Vice Dean of Mobility and Placements and Lecturer in the Faculty of Education in the University of Alicante. She has a PhD in educational research has been the principal researcher on several EU-funded research projects, partly related to the acquisition of languages and intercultural competences. She is the author of articles as well as book chapters and a monograph in the field of language teaching, methodologies and intercultural competences.

Giampiero De Cristofaro

Giampiero de Cristofaro, as the Chair of the Conference Organising Committee, oversees the general management and the conference planning and organization. Mathematician, he has worked as a teacher, teachers’ trainer to foster the introduction of TIC in schools, designer & coordinator of 10 European projects in the field of education and training. Currently, he is the President of FENICE, journalist and editorial director of a magazine; Language mentor for the Education Audio-visual & Culture Executive Agency. Natale Bruzzaniti

Natale Bruzzaniti coordinates the organization of the conference. He is an experienced European project manager and he is in charge of quality management at FENICE. Headmaster of an Industrial Technical Institute, expert in the design, management and organization of courses for students, teachers and adults, he has gained quite a significant experience in ICT over his career thanks to these positions. He worked for many years on European projects as a webmaster of several multilingual websites

Gennaro Montanaro

Gennaro Montanaro is in charge of the conference secretariat and of the practical organization and logistics of the conference. Gennaro will liaise with all conference participants providing answers to all questions as well as support. He previously worked as a teacher of English in several educational institutions abroad and as Lector with Academic Assignment at the University of Timisoara. He currently is involved in European projects in the field of foreign language learning.
